This restaurant is amazing!! Small town, quiet atmosphere. The food was fantastic; better than any other restaurant I've visited in a long time. The manager visited each table to ask about the meals, and if we needed refills or anything else. The prices are beyond reasonable, and it looks and smells clean. Will definitely make the 2 hour drive to visit again!
Rode by this spot several times and decided to have lunch with my ma and uncle as a new spot to try for southern lunch. I ordered the country fried steak with Mac & cheese & green beans. The food came to the table quickly and was hot. The green beans was alil bland but I sprinkled the s & p lol . The customer service was great with getting my water in a to go cup & butter for my cornbread. My ma enjoyed her patty melt meal and uncle had a hot dog plate that he enjoyed. We would come back and now service is picking up for Saturday lunch hours.
New York strip cooked to perfection. Great flavor. Kudos to the cook and my fantastic server Laura H. She kept my drink topped up and left me wanting for nothing. I highly recommend this place...
I went here one day for my girlfriend to pick up some lunch for her while she was working. The cleanliness and service was so good it made me want to come back by myself one day and this day I finally made it. Flounder and shrimp plate was good, fresh, and I will return to try something else!!
My only regret is I didn’t stop in sooner. This is the type of diner I love: friendly service, good food, fair prices. My breakfast was served fast, hot, and cooked right. Loved the omelette, grits, and gravy biscuit.
So glad we stopped here! The food was fresh and the portion sizes are huge. Everyone was super nice as well. Great hospitality, coming from a waitress! :) I got the chicken filet club & my love got the deluxe double cheeseburger.
A & P has been around for years. And it's no mystery why.... it's great! While they do have a regular menu. To me it's the meat and three I stop in at lunch for! Today I had chicken fried steak, mac & cheese, and slaw. The cornbread came with the meal. I kinda highlighted the cornbread, noticed how it's odd. To me it shows how you know its homemade Delicious!
So I've been searching for a place that serves shredded hash browns for breakfast and someone had mentioned A & P on FB. I stopped in to check it out and wasn't disappointed. It feels like an old school diner and can even sit at the front counter which I did The staff was very friendly and kept my coffee cup full the entire time. I just ordered the two egg platter which was great. You really can't mess up the basics, but since I love these type of hash browns I'll be back for breakfast again!
